All of our day camp programs are the alternative to large impersonal camps! Each program is geared towards helping the camper discover the natural surroundings and their inner strength. Chipmunks, Pathfinders & Pioneers thrive in our small-groups. They are encouraged to make friends, explore the environment and challenge themselves, all in a safe non– competitive, well-supported environment.

Your campers fun doesn't have to end at 4:00pm! Overnight camp extends their day and expands their camp experience. We highly recommend overnight to anyone 10yrs and up, especially those who have experienced our day camp program.

The Chipmunks Ages 6 — 7

Days/Times: Monday-Friday 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.

Chipmunks stay in the General Southwick area and taking part in general nature/outdoor activities. There will be some field trips, cookouts and swim lessons throughout the week in our indoor heated pool. Each group consists of two WEU Staff and several program specialists whose top priority is to maintain a thoughtful & watchful eye on your child’s experience. Anyone who has experienced our lessons, instruction, trips or camp can tell you how we excel at helping kids grow. You have asked us to start helping your children grow even younger “Here it is!” We can guarantee that the Chipmunks will come home dirty, tired, and full of stories about what they accomplished each day!

The Pathfinders Ages 8 - 10
( always full sign up early )

Days/Times: Monday - Friday 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.

Each day, Pathfinders are exposed to new activities. While Pathfinders take their new activities & experiences to new levels of confidence, courage and compassion. Most activities will take place at Base Camp or at local sites throughout the Greater Westfield Area.
A variety of Hiking, Kayaking, Stream Hikes, Cook-outs, Cooperation Games, Snorkeling, Canoeing, Nature Study, Swimming, Ropes Course, Climbing and more are offered each week. Each camper becomes more energized as the outdoor world unfolds before them, with our carefully planned progression of activities

The Pioneers Ages 11– 14
(must have 6 enrolled to run)

Days/Times: Monday - Friday 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.

Pioneers take their new activities & experiences to new levels of confidence, courage and compassion. This program is geared for the busy child who is not ready to stay overnight. We do hope that your camper will, one day, be a part of our overnight experience for it does offer a more complete adventure.

Activities include; River Snorkeling, Stream hikes, Mountain Climbing, Ropes Course, Swimming, Kayaking, Non-Competitive Games, Cook-outs, Outdoor survival study, Conservation projects, Hiking and more...

Most activities will take place at Base Camp or at local sites throughout the Greater Westfield Area.

We must have six enrolled Pioneers to run this program. Bring a friend or six!.

Group Size Limit 10—12 per group
Format: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Meet at WEU Store in Southwick**

Cost: $265.00 per week

** Includes transportation as needed.**

If a session is full we are unable to over book.
Waiting lists are availabe, however, we seldom have cancelations.
