Aqua Kick boxing
Jab! Cross, Kick & Strike! Kick boxing has been taken to the water
to increase the Fun! Exercise in the water creates added resistance to
strengthen and tone muscles. Aqua Kick boxing improves Balance, Strength
and Decreases the risk of Injuries.
Water Aerobics– The Way it was meant to be!
We start with an invigorating Warm-up in the shallow end, emphasizing all muscle groups.
Then we head to deep water (depth depends on your comfort level) with assisted
floatation for a no-impact work out. We incorporate lively music and effectively tone and condition
those stubborn areas in just 50 fun minutes! Then we warm down and create Energy which will allow you
to go home and still have something left for your family. We will also
incorporate some adapted Tai Chi moves, Pilates, Noodle work-outs, Healthy
Stretching, and Yoga positions to improve balance and flexibility
while overcoming anxiety. Belly dancing is included to tighten those abdominal muscles!
Water aerobics classes are taught with modifications for any age to participate for high
impact, low impact, or no impact.
We have a senior class that runs in 5 week sessions each Friday at 9am-9:45am. Please contact the Southwick's senior center or Council on Aging at the Southwick Town Hall at 413 569-5498. Friday class Sign-ups are through the senior center only. Will resume starting Friday, September 28th, 2007
What to Bring:
Most equipment is provided, just bring a swimsuit and towel and be prepared
to make new friends!
