Why learn at WEU & WWS.
Our ACA Certified instructors are the key. They teach at WEU & WWS because they love the sport and want to pass on their passion to others. We encourage them to constantly improve their paddling and teaching skills to give you the best instruction value possible. We provide you with information and techniques to paddle on your own with safety and good judgment. We offer a wide range of workshops from Beginner to advance to satisfy paddlers of every skill level. We also offer private workshops for paddlers with specific needs. At all our workshops we strive to give you the personal attention you deserve. Your adventure begins with our experience!!
Outfitting:
All equipment is included, in all our instructional classes. We have a State of the art fleet of whitewater, touring, and recreation kayaks, and gear. You are welcome to bring your own boat and outfitting, there is no cost reduction. We reserve the right to change your gear if it is inappropriate for the conditions on the trip.
The Teaching sites:
WEU & WWS will choose an appropriate site or trip based on participants experience level, water levels and weather. Rivers, ponds & lakes will be utilizes teaching and trip sites.
Times & Meeting place:
All workshops and trips meet at our retail store in Southwick MA. 526 college Highway (Rt. 10 & 202) Come early and enjoy our Hospitality!! Participants frequently car pool to program sites.
W.E.U. will take to the water early next year! We offer many different approaches to teaching skills and building confidence for the not so experienced paddlers looking for an exciting lifetime sport. We also offer opportunities for Intermediate paddlers hoping to fine tune their skills and those experienced adventurers who can't stand being out of the water!

What to Expect:
Beginners can expect to spend time at the lake & in the pool developing
basic skills such as balance, stroke and roll technique. Time will also
be spent on the river working on the concepts of whitewater paddling.
Retail and Rental:
Checkout our retail page for the Kayaks and Canoes that you will find at Westfield Water Sports everyday. Not sure you want to buy, how about renting until your ready. We have a 60 boat rental fleet that includes boats from all the companies we represent. For just
$45.00/day, $75/weekend or $125/week you can figure out which boat is right for you (each kayak rental includes the boat, a quality paddle and PFD).
