The Trailblazers Program is geared towards our most experienced camper. The program brings together young people with similar outdoor interests, a zest for adventure, and love of the outdoors. While we remain stationed at Base Camp, we travel with campers to nearby sites that provide challenge and variety.

Our most senior counselors provide leadership and supervision, maintaining "safety-first" guidelines. Campers learn and refine technical skills in their favorite activity. They challenge their bodies and minds to reach new goals. Though physically tired (and dirty!) at the end of the week, Trailblazers return home energized with self-confidence and satisfied with their accomplishments.

Session 2 & 4-SCUBA Day Camp ~Ages 12+
9a.m. to 4p.m. each day (Day Camp)

This week long adventure has two goals. Be certified to explore the other two thirds of the world and to have fun doing it! The first three days are spent in the classroom and in our on site pool, learning and practicing the skills required to dive safely. Our NAUI instructor and certified Dive Master assistant will keep this week safe, productive, and fun for your scuba camper. The last two days of camp are spent in the open-water. These open water dives allow students to practice their skills and experience what scuba diving is really all about!!! This is definitely a jam-packed week - students should come expecting to push themselves both mentally and physically!!

Session 3 ~ The Radical Road Trip - Cost: $650.00

            This top-secret, adrenaline filled, and action packed week will keep the group guessing around each corner as they travel all over new England! Imagine this…Monday morning the adventurous group arrives and will be handed a clue. Together they must work as a team to figure out their first destination and map out their travel route. Participants must come with a spirit for adventure and mystery since day brings new destinations and challenges. By the end of the week your young adventurer is sure to come home tired, dirty and proud of their achievements. Don’t worry we’ll send parents top-secret information packets so you’ll know what and where we’ll be exploring.

NEW!! Session 5 ~ Trails and Caves- $650.00

Brand new for 2010 we are taking two of our most popular programs and combining them into one epic week! The week will start with a  multi-day backpacking section on a local trail (i.e. Appalachian). On this trip the group will learn to live, learn and laugh together as they discover the rewards and hardships of living on the trail. Toward the end of the week and after a good long shower, the group will explore the world of caving. In the Clarksville Caves in New York groups will spend the day underground exploring one of our planets most unique environments. Sure to fill fast!!!

NEW!! Session 6 ~ Above and Below H2O- $650.00

In this new session for 2010 your outdoor adventurer will be thoroughly exploring the element of water. Three days will be spent on lakes and rivers with our experienced kayak instructors, learning to whitewater kayak!! With small groups and experienced staff your child will get the most of these days on the river. Groups will also experience the thrill of whitewater while crewing a professionally guided  raft! This day has always been a favorite. Finally it will be time to explore the underwater world with a ‘try scuba’ experience, in our own indoor heated pool!
